Speakers attract (not chase) clients
You’re passionate about helping people, and you know you have a lot to offer.
But marketing your business to find clients can feel like an uphill battle, a relentless hustle that’s exhausting and often frustrating.
You don’t want to spend your days getting lost in the social media rabbit hole, or trying to figure out tech and funnels.
And you certainly don’t want to feel like you’re chasing clients.
The fastest way to get clients to come to YOU
There is a better way to tell people what you’re about and what you offer so that the right people can raise their hand and start the conversation that leads to effortless sales.
Short Talks – 10 minutes to instant trust and credibility.
Speaking in front of a group of people gives you the opportunity to explain – without interruptions – why you’re passionate about your work, who you help and what they gain from working with you.
When done well, you’ll find people reaching out to you, asking what it would look like to work with you. Sales calls become easy because people already know they want what you offer.
But what goes into “doing it well”?
There are 3 things you need to get right: Crafting an engaging talk, presenting it with confidence and getting booked to speak.
And that’s exactly what we’ll cover in Make Money With Short Talks.
Here’s what we’ll do together
Day 1: Kickstart with Your Core Message
Content: Dive into the essence of your business and what you offer. Identify the core message you want to share through your short talk.
Today’s Task: Write a compelling elevator pitch that encapsulates your core message. Share it on a community platform or with a peer for feedback.
Day 2: Crafting Your Story
Content: Learn how to weave personal stories into your talk to make your message resonate and stick with your audience.
Today’s Task: Draft a short, impactful story related to your core message. Practice telling your story to a friend or record yourself to refine your narrative flow.
Day 3: Structuring for Success
Content: Understand the framework of a successful short talk, including how to open strongly, deliver your main points, and conclude effectively.
Today’s Task: Create a bullet-point outline of your talk, ensuring a logical progression from introduction to conclusion.
Day 4: Engaging Delivery and Voice Techniques
Content: Explore voice control and public speaking techniques to enhance your delivery, including pace, tone, and volume.
Today’s Task: Practise a section of your talk focusing on voice modulation and expression. Record yourself to identify areas for improvement.
Day 5: Perfecting Your Call to Action
Content: Craft a call to action that motivates your audience to engage further with your business.
Today’s Task: Write a clear, compelling call to action for the end of your talk. Test it out with a colleague or friend to gauge its impact.
Day 6: Securing Your Speaking Opportunity
Content: Strategies for identifying and approaching potential speaking venues or events, both online and in-person.
Today’s Task: Research and shortlist potential speaking opportunities. Reach out to at least three contacts or organisers with a concise pitch offering to deliver your talk.
Day 7: Rehearsal and Booking Your Slot
Content: Final rehearsal tips to polish your talk, incorporating all the feedback and learnings from the week.
Today’s Task: Conduct a final rehearsal of your full talk, ideally in front of a supportive audience for feedback. Follow up on your outreach from Day 6 to secure a booking for your talk.
By the end of this intensive 7-part mini-course, you’ll not only have a short talk ready to deliver but also actionable steps taken towards booking your first speaking opportunity.
Each lesson builds your skills and confidence, culminating in a powerful tool to grow your business and establish your expertise.
This isn’t just a course; it’s a launchpad for your speaking journey.
